A Grand Murder by Stacy Verdick Case

Murder.  My absolute favorite thing to read about and lately my favorite thing to write.  Case’s book is a quick read but none of the details are left out.  The two detectives find themselves quickly out of their comfort zone and that interaction as well as the drama of having to actually solve a murder case is a wonderful combination.

What makes this particularly appealing is the almost Abbott and Costello comedic team of Catherine and Louise.  They are so awesome together and I’m not sure even now if they truly like each other!  They are amazing characters and I hope Case does more books with them in it.

The story was good and easy enough to follow as well as quick paced.  The only downside I saw was that they should have had to work harder for the clues…it was almost too easy.  I kept waiting for something to come creeping around the corner.  Regardless, this was a wonderful story, absolutely insane and adorable co-stars and a huge must read.
